Puma Shoes

Puma AG Rudolf Dassler Sport, officially branded as PUMA, is a major German multinational company that produces high-end athletic shoes, lifestyle footwear and other sportswear. Formed in 1924 as Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik by Adolf and Rudolf Dassler, relationships between the two brothers deteriorated until the two agreed to split in 1948, forming two separate entities, Adidas and Puma. Puma is currently based in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

The company is known for its football shoes and has sponsored acclaimed footballers, including Pelé, Eusébio, Johan Cruijff, Enzo Francescoli, Diego Maradona, Lothar Matthäus, Kenny Dalglish, Didier Deschamps and Gianluigi Buffon. Puma is also the sponsor of the Jamaican track athlete Usain Bolt. In the United States, the company is probably best known for the suede basketball shoe it introduced in 1968, which eventually bore the name of New York Knicks basketball star Walt "Clyde" Frazier, and for its endorsement partnership with Joe Namath.

Following the split from his brother, Rudolf Dassler originally registered the new-established company as Ruda, but later changed to Puma.[3]:31 Puma's earliest logo consisted of a square and beast jumping through a D, which was registered, along with the company's name, in 1948. Puma's shoe designs feature the distinctive "Formstripe",[3]:33 with clothing and other products having the logo printed on them.

Puma owns 25% of American brand sports clothing maker Logo Athletic, which is licensed by American professional basketball and association football leagues. Since 2007 Puma AG has been part of the French luxury group PPR.

    Short Hairstyle
This is very good and Popular Hairstyle in Todays Hairstyle trends. But one thing we have to accept, that short hairstyle is not for everybody. Many factors are there before you chose the short hairstyle.  First, you need to determine if the shape of your face is appropriate for short hair.  You must also consider the natural body and condition of your hair.  The good news is that there are many short hairstyles for women, and short hair is generally easier to manage compared to long hair.  Here are some tips on how to choose the right short hair updos that would be perfect for you.

First off, before you start styling any short hair updos, you have to properly condition your hair.  This is particularly important if you have short curly tresses.  Thus, the first thing you need to do is to give body to your hair.  This will enable you to easily style your hair in any way you want.  If you have rough curls or frizz, then it is even more important to condition your hair by applying straightening serum.

The first step to finding the perfect hairstyle is to do some research on trendy short hairstyles for women.  Take a look at some fashion magazines
that feature short hairstyles.  You could also visit the updo picture gallery at Updo Princess. This website provides lots of style options for women with short hair.

It is always best to start out with simple and easy styles.  Short hair updos such as the French bun will help make your hair livelier and more attractive. These short hairstyles for women are perfect if you are too busy to go to a styling salon.  The French bun will allow your hair to form a short tassel.  It takes only a few minutes to create a casual short French bun, and this style is suitable even if you have curly locks as it will give you a more youthful look.  Most importantly, you can wear this kind of updo everyday.  It is suitable for very casual attire but will also go nicely with a more formal dress.  It is a versatile hairstyle that you will surely love.

One of the best short hairstyles for women is the bob.  The bob style is an all-time favorite of celebrities and suitable if you have luxurious locks.  Bob cut hair allows for different styles.  You can wear it with a center part, or a side fringe. Even those with straight hair can sport a bob cut.  And if you want to try some short hair updos, you can simply use a scarf or a thin bandanna to pull up your hair.  The scarf will serve as an adornment to enhance the femininity of your hairstyle.  If you are adventurous, you could also consider adding some spikes by using a setting spray or hold-on gel.  The key to getting the perfect style is to make sure that you are not making any radical changes to your current hairstyle.Source URL: http://thesoap-box.blogspot.com/2010/10/

5 FABULOUS SOURCES for VINTAGE FASHION

    Wilbur Vintage, Philadelphia PA
Most of my vintage clothes and accessories come from my grandmothers, great-grandmothers--and one incredible afternoon at Couture Club in Chicago where, while visiting my good friend Beth, I happened across a store-wide everything-for-$50 sale of seriously gorgeous creations and bought so many of them I had to borrow a suitcase to haul it all home. As I made my way through the store, I kept holding up item after item--a silver and steel blue metallic brocade Victor Costa dress from the 60s; a 70s Lilli Ann knit maxi coat of flaming orange, red and black plaid with perfectly matched seams; a Cardinali fitted jacket and split skirt in thick boucle tweed of black and brown; a salt and pepper knit wool coat with silk lining and huge silver buttons; a hand-embroidered gold chinoiserie cape with intricate scenes of cranes and clouds--and asking the owner, "This is $50?  And this, this is $50? Really?" in a sort of upscale version of that dollar store commercial.  And he patiently looked at me and replied, "Yes."  Pretty sure that was the universe rewarding me for visiting Chicago in the dead of winter.

Although Couture Club is sadly gone, I have fortunately discovered some great spots in my hometown of Philadelphia. And of course, there's now the magical world of the internet.  Since I think fall and winter clothes hold up best over the decades, I thought I'd share some of my current fave sources for Vintage Fashion, along with contributions from some stylish readers.  Hope you discover a treasure of your own. (And if you have a terrific store you'd like to share, please add it in the Comments section below.)

Wilbur Vintage (top) and Retrospect, Philadelphia PA
In Philadelphia, Wilbur Vintage stocks an eclectic and colorful mix with a funky edge.  Around the corner, Retrospect, in a converted Blockbuster store on South Street, is a weekly stop for uncovering hip vintage clothes, furniture and accessories at retro prices.

    Hip Replacements, Asheville NC

Stylish reader (and niece of Style Maniac) Cass says Hip Replacements is "very Asheville. Vintage clothes with a new age twist." Owner Franzi Charen notes that they specialize mostly in men's vintage and women's reproduction vintage (like Pinup Couture, Trollied Dolly and Heartbreaker). "Our mottos are: 'You can pull off anything as long as you rock it with confidence.' and 'Style is the soundtrack for your life.'"

    Rethreads, Madison & Milwaukee, WI

Recent guest blogger Susan Gloss recommends Rethreads buy/sell/trade boutiques in Madison and Milwaukee.  "They are constantly updating their inventory by buying from customers, so you never know when you're going to go in and find that great DVF wrap dress or pair of Frye boots"

Dorothea's Closet Vintage, Des Moines IA

My new favorite online vintage source is Dorothea's Closet Vintage. Owner Angela Petraline has curated an incredible collection of elegant, superbly crafted and amazingly detailed clothes from the 1980s back to pre-1920s. Just look at that copper lining! that web-back! (perfect for an elegant Halloween bash). If you're lucky enough to live near Des Moines, Iowa, stop in to swoon and shop.
