Lindsay Dee Morgan Lohan was born on July 2, 1986 to father Michael, an actor, and Dina, an ex-Rockette, in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. Lindsay and her two younger brothers, Michael Jr. and Dakota, and younger sister, Aliana, had a Roman-Catholic upbringing.
By the time Lindsay was 3 years old, she was already a working model, having starred in myriad TV commercials, including a Jell-O ad alongside Bill Cosby.
Lohan stars in Freaky Friday
By the time she was 10, Lindsay was a regular on the popular soap, Another World. But television would not remain in Lindsay’s life for long, as she was destined to become a movie star.
In 1998, Lindsay took on the role of twins Hallie Parker and Annie James in the hugely popular Disney film, The Parent Trap. After failing to make an impression for a few years, Lindsay teamed up with Disney once again, starring alongside Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday.
Her life became a whirlwind after that, as Lindsay began developing into a young lady and men all over the world awaited her 18th birthday, so that they could legally lust after her.
Lindsay Lohan makes Mean Girls
2004 was a breakthrough year for Lohan, as she starred in two big ticket films: Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and the Tina Fey vehicle, Mean Girls, which garnered Lindsay critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
But acting would not be the only craft on Lindsay’s list; in December 2004, she released an album entitled Speak, which charted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Her first single, “Rumors,” which was directed at paparazzi, even earned a gold certification. By 2005, the album was certified platinum.
In 2005, Lindsay revived the “Herbie” franchise by making Herbie: Fully Loaded, which unfortunately, did not do very well in its opening week at the box office. But that would not deter Lindsay from continuing to perfect her craft.
Lohan releases A Little More Personal
By December 2005, Lindsay released yet another album, entitled A Little More Personal (Raw), which debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200. Nevertheless, the album was certified gold by January 2006.
While she partied by night, Lindsay was starring in many movies by day; 2006 saw her in A Prairie Home Companion with Meryl Streep, Just My Luck and Bobby, which boasted an all-star cast made up of Demi Moore, Sharon Stone and Anthony Hopkins.
Lindsay kept busy well into 2007, starring in Georgia Rule with Jane Fonda, I Know Who Killed Me and Chapter 27. But 2007 would also be one of demise for Lohan; she began drinking heavily and partying to the point where it began to interfere with her work.

On July 24, 2007, Lindsay was arrested again; this time for speeding and driving drunk. While she was being searched, cocaine was once again found in her pants pocket. She also did 3 stints in rehab in 2007; but it seems none of it did her any good, as she's still seen out and about drinking.
Due to her instability, movie producers refused to hire her and she will only be starring in one movie in 2008: Dare to Love Me.
Lohan currently single
On the personal front, Lindsay Lohan has had a few highly-publicized relationships. In 2003, she dated Aaron Carter but left him when she discovered that he was two-timing her with Hilary Duff.
Then, in 2004, she finally admitted that she was dating Wilmer Valderrama; she could, because she had finally turned 18. The relationship did not last, however, and 2006 would see Wilmer telling all about their sexual tryst on Howard Stern’s Sirius Radio Show.
More recently, Lindsay dated Hard Rock Hotel heir Harry Morton, but the two broke up because Morton apparently couldn’t deal with her partying ways. And Lindsay is finally moving out of the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood and into an apartment.
Lohan feuds with Paris Hilton
Lindsay is also thinking about purchasing a home in London, after she went there for a visit and loved it. In November 2006, Lindsay told paparazzi that she thinks Paris Hilton is a c***, and rumor has it that it’s because Paris slept with Morton.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, rumors abound that Lindsay slept with Paris’ ex, Stavros Niarchos before that.
Currently unable to get movie work, Lindsay Lohan opted to pose as Marilyn Monroe in New York magazine in February 2008 to the delight of many fans. Rumors abound that she may pose for Playboy as well.
