If you haven't noticed already, I love love love books. But I'm also excessively organized and hate clutter. So I rotate displays of books throughout the house, selecting ones that fit the season or occasion. Then I choose a few art or design books for the dining room table (which in my home is pretty much the entry table). I leave them open to inspire me and make me smile when I pass by--and to delight and entertain visitors, who can't help but rifle through and comment on their favorites...
This image is from a foldout of a Monet book I've owned for years. Never really noticed it till I left the book out. I like that it's not the typical Water Lilies image.
READ (or just admire): Monet Water Lilies by Charles F. Stuckey. Used copies available through various sites; Barnes & Noble online seems to have the best prices.Source URL: http://thesoap-box.blogspot.com/2009/02/everyday-style-tip-leave-your-books-out.html
